Cultural studies is a project assigned by St.Ann's College of Education ( Autonomous) , Sec'bad ; with a vision to bring forth the importance and beauty of Indian culture to the teacher trainees. The idea behind the project is to enable the trainees to use culture in their classroom and also effectively pass on the importance of culture to the next generations.
Under the project the teacher trainees are expected to conduct a full fledged study on a selected topics pertaining to Indian culture. Some topics that can be so chosen are :

- Annual All India exhibition at Nampally
- Annamaya keertanalu
- Comparison of any food items in different parts of the country like chat, rice , etc
- Rangoli
- State-wise clothing styles
- State-wise dances like - katak , bharatanatyam , bhangra , garba .
- Pottery
- Yoga
- Karnatic music
- Sufi music
- Occasion wise songs like - wedding songs , house-warming , etc
- Mythological stories
- Traditional games like - loodo , etc
- Panchatantram stories
- Ramayana
- Mahabharata
- Festivals - diwali , pongal , Ramzan , Gurunanak jayanti , Christmas etc.
- Traditional pickles .
- Indian sports like kabaddi , hockey, etc
- Puppetry
- Worshiping of cow
- Embroidery like maggam , zardosi , etc
